Yes, all our jade is Jadeite Jade and comes from the Sierras de las Minas in northeastern Guatemala.
All the jade we sell has been worked in its natural color; no dyes or any type of chemical process has been applied to accentuate or change the color, something much more common in Burmese jadeite jade.

All of our jade colors available in store have been tested and certified by the Guatemalan Department of Mining or the GIA (Gemological Institute of America).
Indeed, yes, jade can break. Although jade is very hard, its structure is crystalline, and a strong blow to a thin piece can cause it to shatter and break.
At Casa del Jade, we are deeply committed to ensuring quality products throughout the entire process, from materials to workmanship, so you can feel confident knowing you are purchasing a quality piece.
Likewise, all of our products are handcrafted, so there may be slight variations in size or shape.

In recent years, there has been a massive increase in illegal jade on the market, which is why at Casa del Jade we guarantee that we have all the necessary permits to extract jade, in addition to paying royalties to the government for this process.
Unfortunately, the market is full of illegal jade, which is being extracted to be transported to other countries or sold locally.
Because we work with the nature of the stone, the color may vary slightly from the photograph.
Casa del Jade has all the necessary licenses to extract jade from certain areas in the Sierra de las Minas. Committed to the environment, we only mine jade that has been brought to the surface by seismic movements, a process that takes millions of years. This way, we do not alter the ecosystem or destroy the region’s flora and fauna, as no excavations are carried out, nor are areas blasted to reach the depths.
Casa del Jade considers its responsible mining policy a constantly evolving standard and is committed to continually reviewing its position, with the goal of having a greater and broader impact.
We use different types of semiprecious stones from different parts of the world.
Most of our jewelry is mounted and combined with 925 silver. We have a beautiful selection of pieces mounted in 14kt yellow gold and 14kt white gold.
Some of our pieces are combined with Goldfilled, an electroplated gold coating.
We also work with alternative materials such as stainless steel, pewter, natural and synthetic leather, textiles, etc.

At Casa del Jade, we specialize in creating products that are different from those in our catalog. Feel free to send us all the details of your design, including jade color, shape, size, materials, etc. We’ll discuss it with our design team to determine whether or not it’s feasible, as we have restrictions regarding our work with nature.

At Casa del Jade, we provide everything you need for the workshop.
We suggest you bring comfortable clothing and shoes, as you’ll be moving and standing for most of the time. You can bring a water bottle to keep with you.
Women and men with long hair should keep their hair tied back and preferably have short nails.
You can bring your cell phone or camera to take pictures, and above all, we encourage you to bring a spirit of adventure and creativity.
The workshop activity is great for children, helping them explore their imaginations and exercising patience as they watch their creations take shape. It’s an excellent activity for all ages.
During the workshop, we ensure a safe environment for all ages. Our youngest participant was 6 years old.
For children under 12, the workshop will only be allowed if accompanied by a responsible adult who will assist and monitor the child throughout the workshop.
Thank you for making your reservation. Please notify us as soon as possible of any change in plans, and at least 24 hours in advance so we can cancel and reschedule.
No refunds are given; you can only reschedule for a later date.

The prices of all our products are in US dollars.
Payment is made in US dollars, and your bank will convert it to your local currency based on your bank’s exchange rate.
In Guatemala
Payments can be made via bank transfer.
You can also make payments with a credit or debit card within the website platform.
If you wish to pay in Quetzales, we can send you a link to use with a Visa or Mastercard.

The payment process takes 24 hours, so if your purchase is over $50 USD, shipping is free. If your purchase is over $50 USD, shipping is $5 USD.
Shipping is done through Guatex. If you prefer shipping via another carrier, we can also work with you.
Contact us. We currently offer courier service only for Sacatepéquez and Guatemala City at an additional cost. Please contact us, and we can determine the cost based on your area.
We ship to most countries worldwide. Shipments are made using reliable courier services such as DHL or UPS.
Payment is processed within 24 hours.
Purchases made on Fridays or weekends are processed by Monday.
The delivery time depends on the destination country.
Estimated delivery times will depend on the destination. An estimate for the United States is 5 to 7 business days for packages that include only jewelry.
For packages containing pre-Hispanic replicas, the delivery time is approximately 14 business days, as each piece requires special processing with the Ministry of Culture to ensure that it is properly identified as a replica during transport.
Casa del Jade only ships to home addresses, not to P.O. boxes.
The customer’s signature will be required upon delivery.

Packaging will depend on what best ensures the product’s protection. This may include a brin bag, a beautiful traditional Guatemalan purse made with recycled fabrics, a cardboard box, or our Premium packaging for select pieces.
For pieces such as sculptures, masks, etc., we also use custom-made treated wood packaging to protect the piece.
Please indicate in the Order Notes box during the checkout process that this is a gift. This way, we won’t include the invoice with the package. Instruct the person to keep the certificate, as they must present it if they wish to make any changes.
We love being part of special moments, and that’s why we offer the option of adding a message or card to your purchase. Please indicate the theme (for example: Birthday, Anniversary, Mother’s Day, etc.) and the message. You can add this information in the Additional Information box when you checkout.
International shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. Information regarding your order, its shipment, and the items inside may also be shared with our service provider and customs authorities as part of the customs clearance process.
The 12% Value Added Tax is already included in the price.
According to the established agreement for the United States, handcrafted jade products do not pay any type of customs tax upon entering the country.
Customs in the destination country may impose customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges on international orders, as applicable.
The United States is the only exception, where no taxes are payable.
The aforementioned additional charges, which are required for customs clearance, are the recipient’s responsibility. When your order arrives at customs or DHL, our shipping service or customs will contact you directly to request payment of any applicable charges. In some cases, DHL must pay certain fees and taxes in advance on behalf of the customer. For example, DHL may pay an advance charge when countries require fees and taxes to be paid before authorizing entry through customs or before releasing certain items. In these cases, DHL will assess the additional amount for these advance charges, which will be charged to the person responsible for paying the fees and taxes.
Please note that Casa del Jade has no control over these charges. For more information, please contact your local customs office.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the item, you can return it as long as it is not personalized or specially engraved.
The item must be in perfect condition with its original invoice and packaging. Returns can only be made within 30 days of the invoice date.
For international returns, the customer will be responsible for the shipping costs to return the product to our offices in Guatemala or the United States.
Returns are non-refundable, and the amount will only be credited toward future purchases.
Products offered cannot be exchanged or returned.
Once the item is received and accepted, your credit or a replacement item will be processed shortly. Our Quality Department will review the returned item. All products that show signs of wear, have been altered (by a jeweler other than Casa del Jade), or are damaged cannot be accepted for return.
Returns without a purchase receipt and original Casa del Jade packaging, and packages sent incorrectly or without insurance, will be refused upon receipt.

It is important that you keep the certificate of authenticity provided with each piece, as it includes the date and invoice number, important information for determining whether the repair is still covered under warranty or not, depending on the age and handling of the jewelry.
To begin any repair process, we ask that you contact us first so we can determine the time and cost of the repair.
For any repair, the customer must pay all shipping and other costs incurred.
At Casa del Jade, we only repair pieces made by us.
We recommend that you pack items securely in their original packaging, as Casa del Jade is not responsible for product damage during shipping or for loss due to uninsured shipments.
